unable to start local mongo instance when connected via ssh to a remote instance

Solved

I have a vps with mongo installed on and running on port 9091

when connected to the remote mongo instance via SSH, later if I start the local mongo instance witch is also running on the same port "9091" i get an error stating that the port is used by another application, other programs I have used like mongochef doesn't suffer from this issue
