Option to customize the way the collection tree is generated

so, let's say you have your DB, named: 'myDB'. Inside of myDB, you have collections that have names that look like:

parent_app_collection.name

I would like the ability for the tree view to collapse into one tag with "parent" and then, under that, it would have "app1" and "app2" and then the collections would be under that. similar to how folder structure work. each 'parent' would become it's own "folder" same with "app" separated on the _ character (preferably customizable, because I assume not everyone would use this same collection name structure.)
