Collection won't show after upgraded to 3.5

mogita shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

OS: OS X 10.11.6

Steps for the issue:

  1. Double click on a collection.
  2. A tab opens, but nothing inside, just a blank view.
  3. Double click on another collection, results the same, with one more tab open.
  4. Those tabs cannot be closed.

So I re-installed to 3.3.

I did some local tests by following your steps with MongoBooster 3.5.3, but can not reproduce the issue.

  1. If you are using an older build. could you please download and give 3.5.3 a try. https://www.mongobooster.com/downloads
  2. What is your collection name? Does it include any non-ordinary characters?
  3. If possible, could you please give me an accessible Mongo URI to recall the issue?

I was using 3.5.3.

I found something new: it works well on my local DB. But over an SSH connection with private key, I can still reproduce this issue. My collection names only contain lower case letters and underscore (no underscores at first char).

I'm sorry but those DBs are the company properties, I can't provide you the URI. But I can show you some of my configs in screenshot. Only the Basic and SSH tabs were configured. And the issue looks like it in the third screenshot.

I tried it with an SSH connection and a test_xxxx collection. But still can't recall the issue. 690be1880263344738c61426901a50a0

This is happening to me as well using 3.5.3 on Windows 10 Home 64bit. Trying to do anything with a collection/db results in an empty, unclosable tab. Happens over all of my basic connections. Log only reports "open new shell" happening.

I want to know if your database/collection name includes space characters. In my test, the tab can not be closed if there is space char in the tab name.

The name of the server is A1 - BATCH (Connection Editor -> Basic -> Name).

The name of the db is tabla_valores

The name of the collection is archivos

If I rename the name of the server to A1 or A1-BATCH (without spaces) it works!

I think that the problem is really there, but I have no way to reproduce it. If possible, could you give me detailed steps to reproduce the problem steadily?

Hey thanks for the new release. It worked!

And I think I've figured out something just before I saw your reply @qinghai. I had space chars in Connections Names, which was "Data - 测试库". After I changed spaces to underscores which makes it "Data_-_测试库", the issue has gone away.
