UX: Clock in the right bottom corner is useless

Hi guys,
I think the clock in the right bottom corner is useless from UX perspective. Almost every operating system have a navigation bar with a clock and in my opinion it doesn't make sense to duplicate it and show the same thing in two places.
In place of the clock you could place another useful control button.
